Idaho City Chamber of Commerce Donor Opportunities Information

The mission of the Idaho City Chamber of Commerce is to promote local business and showcase what makes the area – its people, places and environment so exceptional. The Idaho City Chamber of Commerce is a 501c6 non profit. Donations make all the difference for this organization reaching these goals. Membership and volunteerism is key to the operation of any chamber. We appreciate any corporation or entity doing business with our business members and citizens who consider a corporate level membership in the Idaho City Chamber. This membership fee is $250. All businesses, non profit organizations and individuals are welcome to join as regular members. The annual fee is $50. We look forward to a partnership with you as we work to pursue the future as we preserve the past!

  • The first opportunity to make a difference for this group is a donation towards basic operating costs. This figure comes in at approximately $3200 annually and includes such expenses as rent, utilities, memberships in groups such as SWITA, insurance and the like. A donation in any amount can certainly make a difference in off setting these costs and allow the chamber to get to the business of promotion.
  • Events hosted by the Idaho City Chamber of Commerce comprise the next opportunity to donate that truly matters for Idaho City, it’s tourism future and the hope for mentoring our youth in entrepreneurial endeavors while showcasing our present business members.  Help fund the goals of the Idaho City Chamber of Commerce via support designated to one of these events.  Donors will receive marketing via the chamber Facebook page, the website and at the events.
  1. February: Chili Cook Off: This event is held on the Saturday of President’s Day Weekend. This event involves the competition itself and includes commemorative cup sales as well as raffle and silent auction for fundraising for the chamber. Music, beer garden and more are part of this great event with fellow organizations in our community participating as well.
  2. October: Idaho City Days: This event is held on the first full weekend of October annually. In 2019 a Cowboy Poetry Gathering was integrated into this event sanctioned by the Cowboy Poets of Idaho. The event also includes Fun Run, Vendors, Amusements, Historic Building Open House, ICHF Beer Garden, ICAC Press Your Own Cider and more as we are joined by many organizations within our community!
  • The Chamber is also working to improve signage on Highway 21 and in the city to create a stronger tourism marketing presence.  The chamber works to raise money for matching funds for Idaho Travel Council grant applications for print and digital media as well as searching out other grants to promote Idaho City. More information will be available as specific committees report to the board regarding these endeavors.
